Please don’t go google sale prices and find the best of all time from amazon etc and say ” I got the 290 on sale, this on sale and that one sale… we are talking in the moment retail.Įdit you are 110 percent right about everything in regards to mods etc, not disagreeing with the thoughts of pc gaming just the rest Please don’t take offense I mean no harm to you personally but 800 -1k high end? maybe 2nd hand parts at fantastic once in a lifetime prices. Yeah my spelling sux, cant be bothered im a slob. I love when “high “end” usually falls right in the price frame of ones own pc rather than what it truly is = NVidia 980 / I7/16gb 2133/2400/1k psu ( tbh 980 in sli some would consider high end or say xfire 290 but im being generous.) I own everything so im able to speak honestly, funny thing is that im able to do so anyhow regardless because I have no brand loyalty ( ok maybe nike and coke) but other than that honesty is the best policy especially to self. for those that skimp and then blame devs for bad optim but its really because they cant afford more than a 750ti or out 480, well just buy a console. PC gaming at its core is an all or nothing in imo, no one foot in one foot out in regards to skimping parts because on a budget. People blame optim but star citizen wont run very well for 400 either. I challenge anyone to build a 400 dollar pc that will run games like witcher 3, ac unity, far cry 4 and yeah dying light. called it and he was absolutely right about consoles and less overhead. So all those viral videos of people, who DO KNOW tech, saying 400 dollar console killer well that’s just not the case. Im not happy aboit the truth but im not in denial + because of the new consoles the scaling has nearly doubled in regards to pc ports as you will soon see 4gb vram be the stand for recommended and well $ 800 high end? Nope but it should run by min standards although the xfx r9 270 chugged along, the nvida runs better but its a simple buyout job w techland and theres nothing new there as amd does it also. Inb4 you say im biased etc etc, pixelpro on steam as well as just made a video using a xfx 270 to see how dying light would run on it and well lets just say after a ton of tweaking well playable at best btw you can probably find it from my profile from google plus or just look up boston john. I think its the argument that one can not build a pc at console price that will run taxing games ie witcher 3 etc, tbh your definition of high end is questionable as 800-1000? im guessing you own a pc in that price range well one of my pc’s in hand built to squeeze every cent out of about $800 and well lets just say its not high end, medium ranged at best. For the screenshots below, the PC version is situated on the left while the PS4 is on the right. Performance is also really determined where you are in the game as in-door areas are far more comparable between PS4 and PC being they’re less demanding, while the open world outside is a whole other story. That’s not to say the game looks bad on PS4, but the draw distance can be far from desired. It’s not only the resolution flexibility, HBAO and better anisotropic filtering, but the locked View Distance setting on PS4 is actually equivalent to 0% on PC, or quite possibly even less. The conclusion is that, as per usual, if you have the machine to back it up, Dying Light looks better on PC. While we would have loved to compare the Xbox One edition as well, we unfortunately only were only able to capture footage from these two releases. It should be noted that the PC screenshots are from Dying Light running maxed out and at 1080p. While we’re eagerly running through Dying Light for review, we put some time aside so that we could compare the performance and visual fidelity from a couple of the versions. We took thirty screenshots from Dying Light’s PlayStation 4 and PC versions and compared the two.
